                                                               Vishwa Gayatri Upasak Parshath:

Our Chandogya Upanishat has said that “this entire movables and immovable universe is Gayatri alone. “That Means the only prime cause for the existence of this world is Gayatri. That is the reason why we call Goddess Gayatri as adiparashakti”- primordial spiritual power.

This primordial spiritual power Goddess Gayatri is indeed the real form of the Supreme spirit. Though she is without attributes and formless, for the benefit of the devotees we imagine her as possessing five faces, three eyes and ten hands and thus we worship her in the embodied form. Mother Gayatri who is the real form of Supreme spirit is a collective Goddess. She is in reality Shiva and also Vishnu. There is conch and disc in her hands, even hook and spear also. Since she is thus a collective Goddess, when she is worshipped one gets the fruit of worshipping Shiva and the fruit of worshipping Vishnu

We call Goddess Gayatri as the mother of the Vedas as stated in the sentence, “Gayatri Chandasam Mata”. Here Veda means knowledge. Thus Goddess Gayatri who is the real form of knowledge is the mother of entire Veda Smriti- Shastra and Puranas which belongs to the eternal Hindu Religion. Therefore to all the people which follow the eternal Hindu Religion Goddess Gayatri has remained a “Divine Mother”. Therefore to whatever tradition thus we belong to Shaiva, Vaishanava or Shakta whatever may be our sampradaya, God or chosen God we must always remember that Goddess Gayatri is the Divine Mother to us and to all our family members. Since Goddess Gayatri alone is thus the Divine Mother to the entire followers of eternal Hindu religion it is our principal duty to worship Goddess Gayatri.

It is the firm pinion of our elders that Gayatri should be worshipped through “Sandhya Vandanam” by men which have been adorning Gayatri as per tradition and by the others through worships, songs of devotion and adoration. The sun, who is the visible God to all of us is the source if the breathing power of the entire. Goddess Gayatri the resplendent is the resplendent is the primordial spiritual power who has given the power to shine to such billions of suns. That means, this Goddess Gayatri is giving the power to shine to the Sun remaining as the supreme soul in the sun.

Therefore the sun is the external form of Goddess Gayatri. It is the firm opinion of our elders that if Goddess Gayatri, who remains as the supreme soul in the Sun and who reside in the hearts of all of us as the driving force is worshipped with faith and devotion on Sunday which is dear to the Sun, we can all attain greater prosperity.

Important aim of the Parishat:

1. To Explain, so as to strike one’s mind, the significance of worshipping Gayatri the usefulness that one can derive from that in day to day like and the spiritual prosperity that one attains from it, to those who have been traditionally worshipping Gayatri through “Sandhya Vandanam”and to motivate all of them to worship Gayatri for at least 10mts. Everyday. To teach the method of Gayatri worship to those interested as a supplement.

2. To motivate all mother and children of our eternal Hindu religion to perform Gayatri worship in their homes with faith and devotion on the auspicious day of Sunday, which is most suitable for the worship of the Sun and to attain prosperity, especially to motivate the mothers. And also as a supplement to this, to teach interested mothers and children the method of Gayatri worship and also Gayatri Sahasranamam.

3. To conduct a monthly Programme of “Chintana” on the last Sunday of every month by name “cultural harmony”. To reflect on how to Synthesize according to the present times and circumstances the eternal Hindu religions.

4. To specially perform Gayatri worship for 10days annually in their respective homes and on the last to arrange for a collective worshipping of Gayatri for the collective awareness, development of self courage, fulfillment of desire and mutual harmony. To arrange on that day religious and social programmes that enhance mutual affection and harmony among the worshippers of Gayatri.

Gayatri is the fundamental force of this universe. Gayatri is the Savitur power of the sun. Savitur power is bestowed on him by Gayatri Devi. Sun is visible God, because, all the living beings have their centers of life in the sun. Gayatri Devi not only dwells in the sun as Savitur power but also she dwells equally as a soul [spirit] in all beings, Being as an external sun Gayatri Devi is radiating this world, being as an internal sun she is illuminating our mind and eternal sun Gayatri Upasana we meditate on the Savitur power of the sun and integrating the sun within with that of the sun of world. Gayatri Mantra is most universal not personal, holy prayer. This is the greatest of all Hymns. Our Shastras says:

“That which protects the chanter is Gayatri”

So Gayatri Upasana is the revelation made by the almighty for the benefit if mankind, this Gayatri Upasana is the key to peace, satisfaction and happiness. From this Upasana, one who is ignorant can acquire knowledge, one who is poor can acquire wealth, one who is low is status can rise to higher status, one who is weak can acquire strength, one who is treading a wrong path can change his course to right course path and so on.

So we can say that there is no other Upasana equal to it in quality and effectiveness and that is why Gayatri Upasana has assumed the highest attention and reverence from the beginning time. That is why our Shastras says,

Among deities there is no equal to Gayatri, among the mantras there is no equal to Gayatri Mantra, among Upasana there is no equal to Gayatri Upasana. So everyone must do this Upasana, earnestly and perfectly
